On the night that the veil between worlds is the thinnest, some of us are stuck in the ER hardly able to move. And yet, we find each other.

A short visual novel about finding comfort in unexpected places. Submitted as part of Spooktober 2026. No AI was used for any step of the process, all assets are made of 100% sweat, tears, and the smudge tool in photopea.

Painting used as a model is The Song of the Lark (1884) by Jules Breton, currently on display at the Chicago Institute of Art. Music used is "Take it Back" by Crowander. All assets not drawn by me are in the public domain.
